ETC is Wellington's most multicultural English language school. The campus is in a modern building catering for over 100 students in 10 fully equipped classrooms. All students have free access to dictionaries, textbooks, computers and Internet. There is also a student kitchen and BBQ, where you can prepare hot meals.

All courses are registered with the New Zealand Qualification Authority. We offer free trial lessons. Students can start any Monday.

We offer the following courses for international and local students.

Certificate in English Language Competence (Academic)
This course has eight different levels from beginner to advance, and develops writing, reading, speaking, listening skills. Students who study in this course can prepare for the IELTS exams. International students can enrol for 4 to 96 weeks.

Certificate in English Language Competence (General)
This very popular course prepares you for reading, speaking listening, and writing in an English-speaking world. Students who complete this course can advance to the academic English course. International students can enrol for 4 to 48 weeks.

Certificate in English for Health Professionals (24 weeks)
This full-time course is designed for medical professionals, (especially nurses), who want to improve their English before taking the OET or IELTS exam. English study in the morning and practical English in the afternoon.
